One Day - Urban Birding Excursion in Cincinnati
There are numerous nature parks and preserves near to the city of Cincinnati, There are excellent walking trails that go across to the different habitats to search for local and migratory birds. Much of the parks acreage remains to key habitats such grasslands and are designated as an “Important Birding Area” by National Audubon Society.
What is expected of You
None of the walks are strenuous, but you should be able to walk up to 2.5 Miles along trail, in flat open country and through forest. Bring your own binoculars, camera, rain coat, sunblock and mosquito repellent. We will do the rest! We will provide more information on what to bring and what to expect on this trip when you book. Our targets will depend on the season and we will look for Eastern Meadowlark, Field Sparrow, Horned Lark, Blue Grosbeak, Northern Flicker, Common Yellowthroat, Indigo Bunting, Carolina Chickadee and others…
key species to ensure you get the most from your time in the field. They are a great ways of exploring the surrounding and will probably take you to areas you might not venture to on your own. An exciting work review on the checklist is also included.

About Your Guide
Richard Amable is a senior tour guide born in Peru, He follows the career in ecotourism, birding, and natural history of the Neotropics and North America. Also has been involved in nature and birding since a young age doing many volunteering works in projects of wildlife research and educational programs. He is an expert on parrots. He has the knowledge and understanding of the nature, and culture of many geographic regions in South America, Central America, and North America such as Perú, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Panama, and United States. In 2004. He founded the Jacamar Club – Perú, a birding group from Madre de Dios department in Perú. In 2014 Richard become a member of the board of trusty for the Audubon Society of Ohio. He has stated, “My commitment is to learn from all natural regions and get to see all of the animals is possible. With that knowledge, I will teach and share my passion with others to help strategists for conservation.
